Due to COVID precautions, there will be no official Halifax Pride Parade, but the Elderberries, Atlantic Canada's LGBT Elders Association is once again calling for a MARCH!!

As members of the Elderberries we call on all levels of government to take action on the following four key policy areas that impact our health and wellbeing:

Particulars

• July 17, 2021 Noon, downtown Halifax, rain or shine.
• We gather at 12:00 noon on the lawn in front of the old library building, at Spring Garden and Brunswick.
• Inspired by early LGBTQ marches!
  • A paper bag over your head, in the manner of some 1980s marchers, will be OK but not required.
  • And/or: make your own posters, signs, and banners

• Our honorary marshall is TBA
• Among the Elderberries board, LynnMurphy and BarendKamperman were the main organizers. Lynn is official spokesperson.
• Some people counted about 30 people: a couple dozen Elderberries, and a few supporters.
