Pride Merch & Sign-Making Join us for an afternoon of crafting everything you need for the upcoming Halifax Pride parade! We will be making signs, pride flag and pronoun buttons, and tye-dyeing shirts (bring your own or use one of ours). There will be sidewalk chalk if you’d like to leave affirming and prideful messages for the parade (power house is on the parade route!) and freezies to keep cool. Pride Queer Comedy Kick Off!
Yuk Yuk's Comedy Club Halifax is proud to present "Pride Queer Comedy Kick Off!" featuring some of Atlantic Canada's BEST LGBTQIA+ Comedians. Hosted my 25 year Legendary Industry Veteran Drag Queen ShaylaShenanigans with 5 Amazing Queer Comics. Two shows: one at 7 and one at 9.
Tickets: $15 in advance, $20 at the door.

Ever thought about joining the Halifax Gay Men's Chorus, or are you just interested in spending an evening singing with us? Come out on Thursday, July 18 for a special Pride rehearsal and see how we make the magic happen!
We'll be singing ABBA's iconic hit, Dancing Queen, and we'd love to make music with you. HGMC is a lower voice chorus, but all are welcome to attend this rehearsal and spend an evening in song with us. Light refreshments will be available.

Celebrate Pride with a dazzling array of local 2SLGBTQIA+ authors! Moderator Cooper Lee Bombardier and panelists K.R. Byggdin, Jacqueline Dumas, Francesca Ekwuyasi, Chad Lucas, and Simon Thibault read from their work and discuss identity, craft, and the power of the written word to inspire and liberate. Books will be available for purchase from King’s Co-Op Bookstore.

Wanderers FC Pride & Diversity Night
Halifax Pride is co-hosting Pride & Diversity Night with Wanderers FC! Get ready to experience thrilling soccer action while celebrating the opening day of the Halifax Pride Festival on the Wanderers Grounds. Featuring performances by local queer talent and participation from community organizations, this game is sure to get you in the Pride spirit! More info online.

Bootblacking and Mini Leather Market
Come get your boots shined in time for Pride! We're kicking this year's pride events off with a bootblacking event, including a mini leather market, nighttime shopping hours, and early access to our annual Pride sale.
Space is limited for bootblacking, so we recommend registering in advance to guarantee a spot. We ask that you arrive no later than 15 minutes after the time you signed up for, otherwise your spot might be lost.
Masks are required at VenusEnvy. Walk-ins welcome for shopping!

Drag Dance Class with KristiDavidson
Strut with some of your favourite local drag queens in these special drag dance classes. From sassy walks to booty drops, these classes are perfect for anyone looking to feel their inner diva while celebrating Halifax Pride. Everyone is welcome, no experience needed. Class can be done in heels or sneakers.

Youth Prom

QueerBoxing

8:15 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.
Pride Pads: A QueerBoxing Special
It’s the first day of Halifax Pride, so kick off your festival experience with this advanced padclass. You’ll get a full hour of pad work with an emphasis on technique, building some fun (and challenging!) combos, and finessing your movement and defence. A playlist of queer anthems past and present will pump you up throughout!
This is an advanced-level class for people who are comfortable throwing all punches (jab, cross, hooks, and uppercuts) and practicing defensive movements.

The Dungeons and Drag'Uns: A Drag Improv Event
The Dungeons and The Drag'Uns is an Drag/Improv show where you follow a party of glamourous and geeky adventurers while they complete a campy quest and fight devastatingly beautiful and/or deadly monsters and villains!
Will they Read Ravenous Beasts? Will they Slay Sirens? Will they Drag up Dragons? The rallying call has gone out. Will you answer?
Tickets: $17.31 in advance online and possibility of some at the door.
Entry granting everyone access to the event, and our collection of 600+ board games before and after the event (provided there is space)! It is encouraged to bring cash to tip performers that you enjoy and to be able to enjoy our menu of food and drinks. Other than that just bring your cheers and laughs!

Are you looking for a little drag to spice up your summer? What about a fun event to celebrate Pride with some of your favourite local performers? Well look no further, because Hot Gussy Summer is the show that will meet ALL your needs! Join us July 18th with doors opening at 8:30pm and the show starting at 9:00pm.
Witness exciting performances by Proshenna Rhett, Mike Hunt, Randi E. Rogenous, and your hosts with the mosts: Shmommy and Vinny Van Hoe! Wet Gussy Summer will be the Pride show of your dreams.
Note that Gus' Pub has a few stairs to access both the bathroom and the bar. We can't wait to celebrate Pride with all of you 💖.
