Gary Walsh was a young energetic man, quick to smile & laugh, as well as volunteer to help wherever he was needed. He was an early worker at The Turret as well as the old & new Rumours. Gary was well liked by many, but was closest to JohnMarr, who was manager of the Turret, and a prominent member of the community. Other than JohnMarr, Gary was close to BarryHeath & PatrickMurphy?, ChrisShepherd & RogerStoddard?, TomGrey?, EmeraldGibson, TimHare?, GaryWest, TommyMiller & SaraLee, RegGiles, JohnHurlbert and many others, as well as myself- JimDeYoung.

He was appreciated by the club crowd of the time, but many today would not know of him. Gary was witty, joked a lot, sexy & smart. He had a good & generous heart & was great company & a real friend to those he called friend. -- JimDeYoung

Gary was such a sweet guy . We were a couple for a minute and he lived with me for a short while in the Gay Grey on Morris Street. -- RandyKennedy
